Why do we go on family holidays? I know it's not just my family that make it result in a pointless argument about something stupid, worry about how much everything costs us constantly, and always end up with at least one person not being able to leave the hotel/villa/"insert place of residence here" due to being ill. Sure, it might be nice once every few years, but every year? I think not. They're meant to encourage you to spend "quality time" with your family, but most people I know seem to want to spend less time with their family after every family holiday.
